Until now, we have seen Google Play Store rewarding best apps, games, songs and movies at the end of the year, but this time surprisingly we all can also vote for our favourite apps and games for people’s choice awards. This is the time to support your favourite app and game, of course, provided it should be nominated. Yes, you can only vote amongst 20 apps and 20 games that are nominated by Google. Nominations are made on basis of how trending the apps have been in this year and competition seems fairly stiff.

Following apps are nominated for user’s choice app award:
  • BookMyShow Entertainment
  • Hotstar
  • YouCam perfect
  • BYJU’S
  • Zomato
  • Tinder
  • MakeMyTrip
  • Gaana Music
  • Tik Tok
  • Google Pay (Tez)
  • ZEE5
  • PicsArt Photo Studio
  • Files by Google
  • Crickbuzz
  • DailyHunt
  • Share it
  • Myntra
  • MX Player
  • Home workout
  • Where is my train
Following games are nominated for user’s choice of game award:
  • Ludo King
  • Word Cross
  • Clash Royale
  • Hill Climb Racing 2
  • Lords Mobile: Battle of the Empires
  • Shadow Fight 3
  • Kick the Buddy
  • Hello Stars
  • FIFA Soccer
  • Talking Tom Gold Run
  • Word Link
  • Racing Fever: Moto
  • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Street
  • Racing 3D
  • Love Balls
  • Candy Crush Friends Saga
  • Real Cricket 18
  • Archery King
  • Garena
  • Free Fire

Voting has begun on 12/11/18 and will be open for two weeks. You must be logged in to your account to vote and the results are going to be declared on the 3rd of December. Honestly, this is not only about competition but you can also consider this nominated list as a recommendation of apps to use, to experience the power of UI/UX design and app quality which are preferred by people.

Few months before, in May, Google had declared the list of top Play store apps and games chosen by Google employees based on technical superiority, design and performance. Flipkart and Khan’s academy were amongst them.

I'm a mechanical engineer from Pune. I have a deep passion in writing since childhood, and it's only now that I'm exploring it. I'm an aspiring novelist with myriad of content in my head, penning down on paper a little every day. I started content writing in 2017 as a side hustle and opportunity to gain experience and exposure. The journey till now has been beautiful and I look forward to much more.
