The photography competition quite obviously aims to advertise the Mi A1’s cameras. To recall, the Mi A1 highlights a dual rear camera setup that comprises of a pair of 12-megapixel sensors, one for wide-angle and the other for telephoto. It is also the first Xiaomi phone in India to ship with dual cameras. In our review, we found that the dual cameras on the Mi A1 is by far the best for a mid-level budget smartphone. The Mi A1 excels at portrait shots when the lighting is ideal, offering crisp and detailed shots and a creamy background, with little or no blurry edges.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 is an Android One phone, which means it runs stock Android 7.1.2 Nougat, and will also receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update soon. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass on top. It has a metal unibody design with a fingerprint sensor on the back.
